Have fished out of a yak a few summers ago. You are able to get up the creeks and bays that the “normal” boats don’t reach. Plenty of crappie to be had on both fly and artificial, along with the occasional largemouth. Ive done best at the far end, amongst the trees across from the ranger station, and around the island. The boats + motors for hire are pretty cheap also.
largemouth bass are great to catch there. When you launch from the station go to the right, all the way down. You will see standing timber go through the timber and you will find a pond which is full of bass in early spring. Maps are available at the station. Lots of standing timber.
