Leaving for the Gum Thickets in the morning. Have no been out for a month. Will stop on the way and get some spot, will have chum and am bring along the kitchen sink as far as tackle. Any ideas as to the pattern and methods most productive in the last few days?

I have been anchoring up from the buoy about 400 yds in 39 - 40' of water. The chum might be overkill as there have been schools of fish moving through there regularly. Jigging along with livelining will do fine. The hook-up ratio was better with a chunk of spot than with a whole one. See my reports from last Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
