Left the dock late out of Solomons at 8 this morning. Ran south near the HI Buoy and put out our 8 rod spread. Got a hook up immediately on the white umbrella on board out 80 feet but it was an under that got off right at the boat. Trolled over to the eastern side but all of the marks were on the western side in 45-60 feet of water. Decided to head back to the western edge. Caught a 33" in 60 feet on a white umbrella as soon as we got back on the western side. Not much longer two rods went off on the port board and we had a 29" and 31" in the boat. One was on a chartruese tandem and one on a chartruse umbrella. About 15 minutes later the way back goes off, after about a ten minute fight the line broke doh. Fifteen minutes go by and we hook up again on a chartruese umbrella, after a short fight we decide to let this one go. The bite slowed for a bit and then the far port board rod goes off and we boat a nice 37" for our four person limit. As we were bringing in the gear we hooked up with another 28-30" fish on a white umbrella on the outside starboard board. Overall a nice morning. Six fish were boated plus one unde rand one break off. The water was clean in the area and there were plenty off marks and lots of bait. We ran half white and half chartreuse and both worked. Good luck.
