I went out sunday morning, out of Chesapeake Beach MD with Salty Dawg Charters. It wasn't a Charter trip though, just my buddie Frits, the Captain Bill Zimmerman and his son, and a few of his friends. We were using planner boards and were running 16 lines, trolling the reef and deeper areas. after an hour or so I heard it, picked up the line and pulled in my first Rockfish. It was s 38 inch female. It was the onlyone of the day. The captain said after the cold snap we had they all started to move down toward VA. He recieved a report of one down south near VA that was caught (60"). It was truely a learning experience. And I took away much more than the meat. Thanks again Salty Dawg Crew and I will see ya in the Spring!:clap::clap:
