Is "staying at home" "making a difference"?
Of course. It is akin to saying the pubs are set for years of failure unless they find their conservative ways. I am OK with that. I would rather the conservatives not be blamed for additional liberal policies that the pubs pursue.

You'll forgive me, but that sounds pretty juvenile. Kind of a "kindergarten" way of looking at things.

Considering your propensity to make excuses for your party, that does not surprise me.

So what would you suggest if I think both parties are on a road to ruination?
Certainly voting for the same 2 parties would be about the stupidest thing I could do.

Reasonable question. There were several more conservative candidates in the Primaries, but they went nowhere. Apparently, there aren't as many "conservative" folks in the country as you believe. Either that, or they don't care enough about it to be part of the election process. Many folks say they care about it but, in reality, do you think very many actually do anything, besides beating it around the BS board?
If this election has proven anything, it's that those that cared the most and worked hardest got what they wanted.

I think many conservatives in the end voted Pub b/c they were more afraid of Obama than disgusted with Pubs. I think in 4 years either the Pub party will go back to the right as new leaders emerge or a new party be born. I think you grossly underestimate the conservatives. In fact more Americans consider themselves conservative than liberal when polled. Got to go.

Many many worked hard and lost.

This is a false assumption.

Had McCain been willing to lie about public financing and assume a position to please every crowd, lie about associations, and developed a lack of character he'd prodadly have won.

7% of conserves went for Obama while 60% Independents also voted for Obama, that was the difference. Independents voted purely on the economy, thats it, period. If conservatism is dead, then Lenin just took control of the WH. If thats what you want, then thats what you'll get.

I dont really think the founders desired socialism after the war they just fought.
Liberalism is a sickness, conservatism is the cure.

Your opinion carries just as much weight as anyone elses, Frank, but the fact is, Conservatives are out of the loop.
