Me, My wife, and my 8 year old son are up from HIckory, NC. Went today to find fish.. Had no luck.. Went all the way to False Cape.. Caught nothing all day.. Can any one share some info to help a family have a good time.. Where do I need to go to find fish.. Where are the birds?? Please, Will be leaving tuesday morning..

I have been in jail(work) the last few day but last mon and wed I caught fish between the Ramada and CH in 40-45' of water. Find the big bait balls and keep working them. Martin

If you are looking for catch and release, inside the bay along the virginia beach coast near Cape Henry, they were catching fish 28-32 inches. There was bait and fish at midday yesterday. I wasn't there but was at the marina when someone came back in. They found no fish at the cape on the ocean side, or at 4a bouy.

Its fun, but no meat in the freezer.

Two good options. If it were me and you can fish tomorrow, I am not sure what the weather is, go east from Rudee 2 miles and look for bait. Find bait, fish. Otherwise, run to the Ramada, 40' of water, fish north to CH and hang around there. The fish will turn on at some point during the day. Most of the posts I have read tonight give pretty good info on the location.
Based on your post though, I am not sure if today was your last day to fish or if you plan to fish tomorrow weather permitting. Good luck.
