Got out to the Shenadoah this past weekend. Proabably my last float trip of the season but caught a few in deeper pools (good quality if not quantity). All on sinking line and wooly buggers. On a small creek I sometimes fish I also caught a small bass I have not seen. Looks a little different than most Rockbass I have caught, I assume that is what it is but somebody else's take would be helpful.

the bigger fish are smallmouth bass and the other smaller fish looks like a warmouth. not sure about the smaller one though but the bigger ones are definetly smallmouths

I thought it may be a rockbass. I caught it a small creek while trout fishing (stocked creek) It just seamed a little different from some rockbass I caught in the Shenadoah. I dont think I have ever caught a warmouth so I only have the internet pics to compare. As for the smallies a real quality vs. quantity day as the fall tends to be. Thanks
