Did anyone else read the article in the Southside Sentinel about the waterman who caught the 1/2 male - 1/2 female crab off Gwynn's Is? Very very rare as it is stated; only the second one (reported) in history. These are called Jooks or Simmies, I believe.......he..he.

Hey Warren I didn't read the artical but saw the pic. Bet that crab confused the Heck out of the big Jimmie Crabs when it red signed and molted. Heard it was donated to Vims or somthing and they were keeping it alive?

Strange. I just heard on the radio this morning there were fish caught in the Potomac that were both male and female

Check out the article titled:
"Something Fishy Is Going on With Bass in the Potomac"

I wonder if these are related events?

In the late 70's, caught one in a crabpot that had three claws. One was regular, the other split at the last joint with two distinct sets of pinchers. My little brother made the local paper with it. On another note, some buddies fishing on the Potomac around Nanjemoy creek last month caught a catfish with no eyes or eye sockets.
