Headed to breezy saw minnows swimming in the parking lot and decided not to launch. Grabbed the kayaks and caught 4 dozens crabs in about 2-3 hours work. Lots of fun and good eating.

Great report!!!

Once you launched the yaks, how did you catch the crabs--handlines, traps, trotline, netting them off pilings, other?

Sorry I used the Captian Bruce traps. Frozen spot really helped. The kayaks are nice for sneaking up on the in the shallows.

Crabbing from a kayak sounds like risky business. I'd hate to have a feisty 7" Blue Crab end up on my lap.

Nice going. Looks like quite a feast.

Yes you need a system for measurement and storage for sure. I love fishing for sure. But simple economics crabbing is a great value. I catch a lot of 100 a lb rockfish hahahaha!
