Some folks fish the warmwater discharge from the powerplant at Dickerson, MD, in outer Mont. Co. near the mouth of the Monocacy. This winter, however, they are doing major construction at the plant and the discharge water is not warmed very much. Not much going on there this winter.

With any kind of warming trend there will be walleyes available, good areas are below Great Falls and near Dam #4.

pohick bay across from ramp in the Coast Guard Channel,,, Silver buddies will catch anything in there and you won't be alone,, its a hot spot especially this time of year....
Not far from the ramp also fish the Silver buddy around the concrete pilars to,,,, Yellow perch, Largemouth and Crappie all lingure there...


A lot of tournaments have been won there in March .... This time of year the Silver buddy is the ticket... Gold or Silver and Chartuese if a little cloudy...

I grew up there so Info is not BS

Whoops I forgot to Mention Fort Washington as well , Deep water drop off and you can make the ride to the Wilson Bridge the Spoils are full of Yellows right now but you will need a DC license don't forget above the bridge ... Try Pohick,,, I've caught fish there this time of year Many times,, Also the Occaquan RIVER is a good place too,, if not frozen ,, lots of Structure in deep water ...

If you want any more detail send me a PM ... I can tell you where to start... ( SHHHH its a secret please) in the Occaquan river...
