Don't have any pickerel fishing to report, though Alex, Tim and Corey Bohlman did venture onto a slushy Severn this Saturday afternoon to try and put some lead into a few of our feathered friends. They didn't last long enough to kill anything, but on the upside, Alex, Tim and Corey all made it back to the dock alive.

Slushy?? I see no ice on the river in that picture! Wimpy boys couldn't take a little cold, huh ?:D

Preceeding remarks typed while I sit in the warm comfort of my family room with the fire going strong and the NFL on the big screen... ;-)

Hey man I know they already know this but it's not a great idea to be wearing waders on a boat while hunting. If for some reason the boat goes down and their waders fill with water they're pretty much gonners. But yeah I'm headed home tonight to brave the cold in the AM and stick some steel in some ducks.

Cheers,

Evans

Funny but 20 years ago almost every point on the river had a duck blind .Duck hunting was so popular that no one hardly fished on Saturday. They were too many hunters.

Some of the old pilings are still there - on super low tides you can spot them.

Duck hunting is fun, but there's too many folks out there for me. I've gotten into upland hunting...and although the birds can sometimes be fewer between, you are not constantly rubbing elbows with landowners or other hunters.
