Didn't get to do as much as I wanted down here but did make it out twice. First trip was to a basically freshwater section of the St Johns, only managed a couple of sunfish on the flyrod. Today it was the intercoastal waterway. 2 mile paddle from the put in on Rt 210 all against the wind and current but ended up in some nice inlets. Tide was on the last of the outgoing so not ideal but still managed 4 specks to 19" and a 17" flounder. Now that my son lives down there, I'll be bringing the Yak on all visits. Didn't se any of the locals (a guide and party included) catch anything so Virginia was well represented.Word of advice, get a license before you get go there if you do. Not many bait shops carry them and I had a hard time locating one, actually, never got one and paid the price in the freshwater. $ 85 fine....more enforcement there than in VA.
