Finally got on the type of marks that get your blood goin. Found em 2 1/2 miles out just north of duck research pier. Only a few birds, maybe ten, litely pickin an area. Came across a mark and it turned into 30ft of solid stripers. Four or five pods were spread over an area. Still a little far from the inlet but a nice day nonetheless. No trollin gear today...finally, triples, doubles,triples....biggest went 47lb weighed in at tw's. All on light tackle jiggin bucktails. Pulled off a couple big boys threw a bunch back and now my soul is cleansed. Being alone, no other boat in sight ALL DAY, not one, and we caught until we had enough. The fish were schooled up tight..not feeding real hard...but the school was huge. Laughin i called my man the "king of rock" and he steamed 20 miles to us and found em after we were back at the dock. Phenominal fishin...Very easily could have missed these fish today. Birds very inactive....I have mated in my life and respect the fishery, but i have to say..no commercial trawlers visible for me today for the first time in five trips and what happens??? That's right...the fish are there. You decifer THAT however you wish!!!!
