There will be a joint SFAC/TFAC meeting on May 17th from 6:00-9:00pm at the Phillip Merrill Environment Center of the Chesapeake Bay Foundation's Annapolis Office.:yes:

I understand that an allocation plan may be one of the topics introduced. (not specific to any species but rather how allocations will be determined)

Yes , the DNR meetings are open to public - after all , our license fees pay for a lot of it.

Most meetings offer a few minutes for public comment as well.

IMHO - everyone should attend at least a few of these meetings to see first hand how fishery management works.

Hot Meetings Like this are Usually at a Church --Cbf proving the Armed Guards? Years ago Dnrp had to unsheath weapons , we moved to Churches --

TFAC Motion by Brian Keehn to maintain Maryland's commercial striped bass allocation (among gear types)
for 2011 at status quo. 2nd by Bill Goldsborough. 4 in favor, 11 opposed. Motion fails.
TFAC Motion by Bob Evans to adopt the Maryland commercial reallocation recommendation (among gear
types) by the commercial striped bass industry workgroup for the 2011 commercial striped fishery. 2nd by

poundage limits of 500 lbs per day/1500 per week by Russell Dukes, 2nd by Gibby Dean. 15 in favor, 0 opposed,

TFAC Motion to accept commercial striped bass work group's recommendation to accept extension to allow
fishing sunset by Billy Rice to accept, 2nd by Mike Benjamin. 13 in favor, 2 opposed. Motion carries.
TFAC Motion to adopt commercial striped bass industry work group' recommendation for H&L and pound net
