Anyone going to the Judge Yachts open house and seafood bash on Feb28th? I took my family last year and had a blast. My kids were able to get out of the house on a cold winter day and see how boats are made It was kinda like the show "How Stuff is Made" on Discovery Channel HD but live (I love that show). They had a few vendors last year and Elaine said they are having more this year. I know Elaine invited my buddy who owns BOE Marine to be there this year. (Jim told me he will try to bring all the latest and greatest new electronics stuff to show off. ) Last year they had tackle and custom rod dealers there too. I know I hope to restock with some 9" shad boddies there.

My wife and kids had a great time last year. I was able to hang out and talk with other TF'ers and Judge owners (as well as finally get the blessing from my wife to let me buy a boat). Food was great too! There is no cover charge, you do have to sign up in advance though.

Anyone planning on going? I will be there with my wife and 3 kids to make a mess of Bill's shop and eat his food.:D

I dont know if they have a link to sign up. I just received and email and had been talking to them about it when I call to talk to them about some of the things I want added to my boat. They have the info listed on their website regarding it. I would call or email them to let them know you are coming. (Elaine said the sign up is so they can get a head count for the caterer). I personally let them know over the phone but I am sure email is fine. It really is a cool get together and there were several TF'ers to hang out with last year. There is tackle, electronics, food, drink, and of course boats.

Here is their web site: Judge Yachts Custom Boat Builders or Bill's email address is [email protected] and Elaine's is [email protected]

ps. Mark, I will have to teach my kids to point at your kids if they break anything:D

Greg; what are you looking to add to your boat?
Marty, I have a list of stuff I want added

1. 6 rod holders welded to the hardtop supports. (3 each side)
2. Windlass
3. Radar with heading sensor for overlay on my plotter
4. couple more rod holders in the washboards
5. paddle wheel for speed through water
6. under gunwale LED lighting
7. LED spreader lights
8. Under gunwale rod storage
9. cabin rod holders

That should do if for now for the boat... Fishing gear is another (longer) list :D

Just figuring out cost and budget as each of these things cost more than what Judge charges to install since my wife usually negotiates things for the house in the budgeted money. It is like congress. I cant get any spending approved without her projects being added in :D:D:D

Greg; that's quite a list. I'm pretty sure Bill uses the freefall windlass by lemar. It's the same one Grady and Parker uses. Radar will be sweet and you can never have too many rod holders. Just ask your friends to bring some rods with them!!!!! I can't wait to see it next spring. Marty

Marty-

Mega-Jack is Sykesville. Mega-Jack was my first Judge 27' named after my wife Megan and son Jack. Sykesville is my new Judge 27'. Sykesville since I have 3 kids Jack, Caroline and Henry. My wife grew up in Sykesville. And for the state of mind I am in when on the boat like Margaritaville.

I will try to make it to the Judge Bash but I coach lacrosse and that Saturday is our first practice.

Hope everyone has fun there.
