Looks Fishy :eek2:with mate Skunker (Rob)and crew Dean made the run across the CBBT and put in at the Kiptopeke Park ramp around 6:00am. the wind was not doing what was predicted, so rather than run the boat across, we were glad we trailered it across. Winds were already out of the NE at about 15mph. Not what was predicted. Anyway, things were not crowded when we got there and we headed for bouy 18, Skunker started rigging eels and we got on the drift at about 6:45am. Water temp was 46-47, depth was 35 to 40 ft, just north of 18. At about 8am we got our first fish. Skunker got on the rod and boated a 38" 30 lb rock. :bigfish: Fish looked good and healthy, into the cooler he went. An hour later, we get a short strike, I pick up the rod, get two healthy shakes, then nothing. By this time, the drift had taken us west and south of 18. We run back up toward Plantation light and reset. Things are looking crowded. Around 9:30, we get a hook up on a light spinning outfit, 17lb test line. I grab it and get pulled around the boat for about 10 minutes.:helpsmilie: Skunker finally gets the net under a 38" 25lb fish. There was one red scale on this fish, but otherwise looked good, but a little on the lean side. so, one fish short of our limit. Dean is up and shortly, we get a good knockdown on one of the bobbers. Dean grabs the rod, but the fish is gone. We get another short strike and one other knockdown, but no hook ups. We call it a day at noon and head to the ramp and the chaos there.
