Pictures of Kevin's fine craftmanship were on 2 pages of the Rodcrafters Magazine and Kevin was given credit for his techniques in another article .......... pictures were better (IMHO) than the Rodmakers pictures ........

Thanks, I appreciate it. The guild was planning on putting another article that I completed back in October. However, since I had just done an article for Rodmaker, and they are bitter rivals, a copywrite lawsuit was threatened to be filed. So, in order to cover their bases, they pulled the article in the 11th hour. As noted in the editors note at the end of Bob Turpin's article, mine will be published at a later date, springtime actually.

It stunk because these articles take a sh!tload of time and I spent about 20 hours on it. It's even harder when you have it written once and then you have to lay it out differently, change words, etc. So, I busted my butt, got it done and then had it pulled.

Oh well, it will be published, soon enough...

Thanks again for the kind words, I appreciate it. The pictures are the same ones that I took for Rodmaker. I had 175 pictures in different settings for both magazines to pick from. I guess the difference is the printing.

we,, you wouldn't think there would be any politics in rodmaking, but there is. Rodmaker was started by Tom Kirkman and he and the guild do not get along as the Guild has sued him and accused him of some undehabded suff, but after the judicial system got involved, they threw out the case in court. So, basically, there were two groups in the missle of a pissing contest and I walked into hte middle of it!

There are politics in everything unfortunately. It's a shame that two groups with a common goal can't get along, and even worse for you to get squashed in the middle.
