Anyone fish Lake Anna recently?
I'm considering a trip up this Sunday to scout areas for topwater stripers. Splits area.
All recommendations welcomed!!
Sure, flail away with all those pretty lures! I'm sure you'll catch something. I'd let a couple shad do the work for me, maybe drink a cup of coffee or a beer depending on the time of day.
How/where to catch good live bait has been a secret few will part with for Lake Anna. I've caught shad upriver in the backs of large shallow coves, preferably with mud bottoms. I don't go often enough to tell you an exact location or I would. You won't regret getting a larger net.
Post some pics! Not enough Lake Anna traffic on this board.
Back, empty handed.
Got in the middle of a few early, but they weren't eaten, what I was throwin.
Soon as the sun got past 9er clock, they were not to be found.
Didn't even mark any.
I do have to get up and out earlier next time.
I know where they were early, I just need to be earlier!!
