It's a different game.

Went there about 10 years ago over memorial day weekend. The striper thing involved live bait and it didn't seem to be on fire. Maybe it's changed, I'd try a guide first. However, what saved the day was cans of corn. Throw a couple handfuls in the water when tied up for the evening, put a bunch on a #4 hook on a slip sinker rig. Caught a ton of huge carp! It was a blast!

I went to school just east of there and got to fish from the shore a few times. While i never experienced anything i would call a "hot day" by any stretch of the imagination, i don't recall ever being completely shut out either. I was generally fishing for bass. I do know that they were experiencing VERY LOW lake levels last year and i don't know if they have remedied the situation at all so that may very well have affected the fishing.
