and what a day it was....got hte invite from h20waterfowler....with a name like that...you know i was going......i aint had that much fun since the last time me and him hooked up and were stomping baby chickens:eek2: ( you gotta try that sometimes.....with snow shoes) Mr Dave didnt dissapoint.....Thanks again Dave....im there anytime the invites there:yes::thumbup:

Not too bad Ida. One of my partners hunted last thursday and shot 8 greenheads. ALL 8 were banded! Then on Friday they shot 14 ducks, 6 were mallards and 6 were banded. He has the proverbial golden horse shoe up his butt.

Looks like you guys had a good time at the end of the season. We shot quite a few on Back Bay last week. Only 7 months to go until september teal season.

14 bands in two hunts???people call me lucky,,,where the hell is he hunting .....the banding institute.....thats almost unheard of

They were hunting in NC just south of the VA line. Can't tell you where exactly...you know the rules. They were local bands, but still banded. I know of a few guys in Arkansas and TN that have done the same thing.

thats pretty cool......im jealous....i have three bands...dont bird hunt a whole lot ....but im gonna start putting more time into that next year....i love callin birds, watching them work......shooting a bird is a bonus.....kinda like turkey hunting.......its all about hearing the bird

You got that right. I spent many years in the competition calling circuit and still love to blow the calls and work the birds. My wife still hates it, my goose call is with me 24 hrs a day, 365 days per year. I call with the voice so she never escapes the "noise".

You have 7 months until teal season to perfect that teal call.

Goosehunter, were your buddys bands Deal Island club bands??? Just curious because i've shot a few of those in carolina waters pretty close to where your talking about. And they were all mallards too...thanks...Brandon
