Made it over to the hot ditch around 1:00 PM on Friday afternoon(2/18). Beautiful day, nice and warm. Started fishing right at the mouth of the discharge without any bites. At 2:30 I moved to the small channel north of bridge. Ended up catching 9 or 10 small specks, all right around 14" mark. No monsters, but had a good time out there on such a nice day. All but one were caught on live shiners, the other was caught on a 4" Gulp Chartreuse mullet with 1/8 ounce jig head, retrieved slow on the bottom. Low tide was 3:30PM. They were biting through the tide change. Come on Summer!
