Mine is almost three years old and still perfect. By chance did you change your polarized sunglasses recently? If the lenses aren't properly aligned (mine are off a bit) it will raise heck with reading ANY LCD. Otherwise it may actually be a bad display. ICOM is a decent outfit so shouldn't be any trouble to get fixed.

 

Thanks for the reply -- This was thursday night when the temp was down to 62. I think maybe the lower temps may be affecting it.
OH Yea -- The NWS blew it again that night. It was supossed to be light & vairiable winds with calm seas. It got to blowin about 16-20 and there were 2 1/2 - 3 ' waves that night.

 

Call Icom they are great to deal with kind of like Furuno.

 

Nope, the only issue is 1 Capt Skip told me about. You must talk straight into the mic, not off at angle like I tend to do. If you don't the transmission will be broke up.

Terpheels --- You broke me up with that response[grin] I'm going to contact Icom today. I may be able to drop this thing off at Mid-Shore and have them repair it. I think they are an authorized repair facility.
