Hey Port Charlotte area fisherman, We are spending the first two months of the year in your area and would like some local knowledge on the fishing. We will be keeping a Grady White 22 Seafarer with a four stroke 225 at the new lashlie park marina. We are looking to fish the area from Port Charlotte down to Fort Myers and Boca Grande area. Our fishing normally is in Key West and we have been spoiled!! Would love to experience the local fishing but just don't know much abvout it. We would be open for any info or someone to fish with either in our boat or yours. We have always loved the simple type of fishing ( Bottom Fishing for grouper grunts, or anything else that bites. Thanks for your time and hope to here from someone soon. Alley Cat.

i lived there about 6 years ago but cannont remember the name of the reefs we use to fish. i found these off of another sight. i do remember fishing a lot at a place we called the rockpile that wasabout 12 miles off of boca grande that always had a load of grunts and an occasional grouper or snapper. maybe check out a local head boat, the placida queen ran out of placida
