Very late report from this past sat. but Uncle Phil and I launched at Ft. Armistead in hopes of some pullage. On friday I went home over thekey bridge and it was clear. Sat. is was loaded with ice, must have blown down the bay or just moved with the tide. We tried X and got a few fiesty permits and I had one fat little 20"er. Couldn't get to Y or Z even though we tried. Looks like X is putting a new converor system in so they weren't pumping too much warm water, maybee 50*. Beth. Steel from what I've been told has been down most of the winter so for now I'll focus on getting things the way I want them and hopefully find a canvas shop that can take my cover for the boat and build it up to allow for the T-Top. Anybody going out beware of the ice, sometimes its really hard to see. As always it was a blast to have Uncle Phil aboard. Hopefully we'll get'um next time.

Skip - we didn't see any netters. Don't know if thats good or bad. They might have gotten a ton of fish or on the other hand it might have stunk so they moved.

Went out Monday and no ice to report, no fish either. Netter was in that same spot I think Skip saw him in. Had a couple of guys reported they got a few early. Poop plant was churning up water but the temp was about 40 degrees. No signs of life all afternoon.

Thanks for the invite JP, and as always, it was great just to be out on the water. Its really sad how things have gone downhill in the river, especially this year.

"...we didn't see any netters, Don't know if thats a good or bad." Well, I think anything to do with nets its bad.

Hopefully Beth starting pumping this week, I didn't get an update last Friday. More pumps coming online too. Since I was too lazy to cover the boat during the ice storm my scuppers and transom area are still frozen over since the boat sits in the shade.

Jp at least you had a nice day to be on the water thanks for the report, and the way it looks I will not be out this Saturday with the weather they are calling for now. I'm ready for Spring

I fished the Patapsco at location "Z" on Friday6, noon-2:30pm (at least I think its "Z", I'm getting confused). Totally skunked except for snagging a few gizzards. Still old ice in the back, outta-the-way areas, but the main body was totally open. Tons of gizzards near the WWD but no stripers or striper marks. I got this doom/gloom feeling its not going to happen again this winter. Water temp ranged from 37F-40F, vis 3'.

My last decent day of striper action on the inner Patapsco was Dec3. Even had working birds and nice fish. But I don't think action that day was the result of the WWD. I think it was just the last gasp of a decent fall season there for me. After Dec3 I haven't been able the catch anything there. Guess the cold Dec/Jan chased them out... dunno.

I second bone -a- fide's request for a reason. I remember a couple, 3, 4??? years ago some pretty good days with fish into the mid 30s and lots of 20-30fish mornings or afternoons.

Also here is my late Sunday report. Got 2 at location X by following the warm water 44 -45 degree plume to more fertile area/rock jetty. location Y is not even close to happening 35 degree water, absolutely no WWD. Hopefully both spots get better soon, I need a fix.

reeltor - its unfortunate but the WWD fishing on the Patapsco has gone down hill over the last 3-4 years

Phil - we'll get'em soon enough

Bob - I'm working on Beth's property, maybee I can find out

Steve - I hope we can get out this weekend

Roger - slowly gone downhill for some reason

Frank - good to be out but fishing blew

HJS - we couldn't get to Y or Z, too much ice

Butch - thanks, yes its on, I need to add some goodies and move some existing stuff but when its done right I'll post some good pics, basically a hard top, 6 rocket launchers, spreader lights and an elect. box

bone-a-fide and boom - haven't a clue, one good thing that came from last year was we found fish in the deep channels near the marine terminals, maybee the winters have been sort of mild and they just aren't moving to the WWD's
