Launched early a.m. w/HJS at the Narrows and headed north looking for breaking fish in the Love Pt. area. Nothing doing there, so we headed towards the channel, and west. Then worked south towards BB and marked fish, but couldn't find any takers. Received a call from a TF regular much further south and headed in that direction.

Stopped in the Bloody Pt. area on the way and worked The Hill for a while with some success. Fish were holding on top and just off the edge. We jigged up a few for the box and then located some nice schools with keeper fish to 27" (pictured) in 56' of water.

Stayed on them for a while and had good action until just after 2pm when we headed for the barn.

Slow start, great finish. All fish caught on a variety of 3/4 and 1 oz. jig heads w/BA's and BKD's.

Excellent day of fishing for Phil K and myself. Phil is a good "guide", although we both had our doubts after the first 3+ hours went by without a single tap. We saw no working birds from BB to points north... dismal looking if you're hunting for fish. A skunking was in the works.

When we got the call from a good friend about decent action with birds much farther south we turned tail and headed straight into the S breeze. The S wind slowed us considerable. The heavy chop was discouraging and taking its toll on us. About 1/2 way to our friend's location we had had enough of the bump & grind and started fishing near the mouth of E-Bay. Thats where we hit good fish. We had to hunt around a lot keeping and our eyes to the FF for telltale striper marks. Lure of the day was 5"-6" chart or limetruce BA look-a-likes on ~3/4oz heads fished near bottom. Can't believe we were throwing back fish in the mid 20"s. Stomachs contained 5"-7" bunker. AND NOT A SINGLE BLUE... and no cut-offs:clapping2:!
