I have a Lowrance M68c on my Whaler and the unit is about 4 years old.

The GPS works well, but the fishfinder does not seem to work. At the end of last season, I could not get a reliable water temp or sonar picture..Any one have this unit and experience sonar problems?..Could it be the Transponder? software?

Any help would be appreciated

if it worked good in the past, then most likely it is the transducer. They don't last forever. Only about $50.

I have the same unit and had problems with the contacts on the power/transducer plug. Try spraying with an electronics connector spray. I have a diagram of the plug that identifies what each post is used for if you need it.
