What are some good lures for stripers at night in the bay?

I use topwater in low light hours but never had any luck in pure darkness. The only lures I have had any luck on in the dark are paddletails.

Any other good choices?

Look for lights shining on the water and fish the line where the light meets the shadow. Sassy shads work well. I bet a rattletrap-style lure would also work (sound!). I have some 11" Power Bait Eels that only seem to catch at night.

I second the whole lighted pier thing. Shadow lines definitely act as structure, and this also applies to daylight hours when the sun casts shadows from piers, trees, etc. Good luck!
