My buddy Brandon Williamson and I fished Wednesday evening/night under the lights of the docks in Lynnhaven Inlet. We caught a pile of small trout, a few other miscellaneous fish, and 8 rock fish. We had 3 keeper rock fish, two 20 inch fish and one 22 inch fish. I am pretty sure I broke off the biggest rock fish of the night, I was only using 6 pound test line and I should have re-tied after putting two rocks in the box (rookie mistake) - you know what they say about the one that got away! When I cleaned the fish, this is what was in the belly of one of them. The trout were also feeding on the glass minnows (at least that is what I call them) because they spit a few up in the boat when I was taking them off the hook. It was a picture perfect night. We left them biting about midnight, had to drive back to Richmond, and work the next morning. We were tired, but it was totally worth!
