To pretty a day not to get out on the water. We dropped the kayaks in a creek on the south shore and figured to hit a number of areas where we have picked up pickerel over the last few years. We were well armed with Virgil Poe's favorite jig heads and plastics. I caught a nice legal striper with in 100 feet of the launch ramp. Two hours of working the shore line and we had not one pickerel hit. Caught a few small white perch and a couple of nice size yellow perch. With the weather forecast this may have been our last kayak fishing trip of the year.
