Awesome. I've taken a lifetime's worth of dubbing from my sheppard mutt that works well on hairs ear nymphs for trout. Just one pet or brush would supply me more dubbing than I could use in a lifetime.

I've often thought about using St Benard's hair or something like that for longer bucktail type flies.

Good beer there too. I'm looking for a place where I can get a keg of Sierra Nevada for out Christmas Party on Saturday. Know of anywhere?

I am not sure where you live. I am SE VA (Gloucester). Farm Fresh can get Sierra Nevada in a keg but it is special order. The only keg beer they keep in stock are of the anheuser/Miller variety.

If you have access to Farm Fresh, pickup a sixer of Dale's Pale Ale (in cans). It is out of Colorado and very hoppy and will more than suffice if you do not allow bottle beer on your boat.

Dave, you should tie a jig and coin phrase it the "whale tail"? I think your innovative idea of using canine fur for jigging coupled with the use of arbitrary alcoholic beverage products to represent size, and just of the jig itself is a masterful revolution in fly tying! Furthermore, it demonstrates a spark of refreshing ingenuity rarely seen these days, and ultimately is an excellent indicator of your primitive frugalness in these economically depressing times. Where can I get some MOBJACK PALE ALE please?

Dave,

The Andros eats up the chop but still can get in skinny water. All boats are compromises but the Andros Permit gave me the most versitility for what I do. I'm now able to scale back to a single boat instead of running two like I used to.

Chris
Roger that.

FYI I killed the schoolie rocks on Luke hair flies today. I fished them on a dropper rig with spinning tackle. They look great in the water. I landed at least 12 fish in under an hour.
