Fished the mouth of the South River for a few hours this evening. No birds, and no marks to speak of, but caught about a half dozen in the 17-19" range and one 21. They were a bit inside of the mouth, around the Red 6. Caught them on umbrellas and Chesapeake rigs, white and chartreuse. I didn't use any weights at all due to the fact that I was willing to run up into the shallows to look for fish. I ran them from 40 to 80 feet back, I keep them close in the river. The wind was howling, but the next few days look awful, so I went for it.
