You can buy pre-packaged Montreal seasioning, but I like to make my own.

1 TBSP of fresh cracked black pepper
1 TBSP of fresh cracked white pepper
(No pepper mills need apply, crack under a thick SS pan so you get chunks, not powder)
1 to 1 1/2 teaspoons of Cumin (can be a strong flavor, adjust to suit)
1 teaspoon of crushed red peppers
1 1/2 teaspoons of garlic powder
1 1/2 teaspoons of onion powder
1 teaspoon of oregano
2 teasponns of salt

Heavily coat a quality steak (flat iron, strip, ribeye ect) with the seasoning on both sides, then rub with some good olive oil. Let it sit for 10-15 min.

Crank up grill to the uber high setting & let it get HOTTT. Toss on steak. 3/4 inch steak will take 4 min per side for med rare. Flip only once & don't move it all around.
