At our meeting on Wednesday I asked Bottom Knocker about shipping perishable goods to Brett, I mentioned that I had connections to Berger Cookies. BK didn't know about shipping perishables. I hooked up with Charlie Berger tonight. I need Brett's APO address and the number of people in his barracks. Charlie will donate the cookies and will handle the packaging and shipping to Brett and his friends. Berger Cookies is a small local business barely surviving, I've known Charlie a few years before his father died and Charlie took control. Down to earth guy and a good friend. I need Brett's APO address :clap:

My daughter girl scout troop sent a ****e load of cookies to them and another unit in his area at Bret's request. The shippment took like 2 1/2 to 3 weeks to make it to them (but that was in the x-mas mailings). I am not sure but there told us not to send the chocolate versions of the cookies but a coroprate donation might go easier plus I think the Berger cookie name has more juice than GS troop 276. Dang, I'll to check about cookie varieties. Wonder what the deal is with chocolate, I'll try to dig into it. Like most businesses Berger is having a tough time with the economy and I was actually surprised he didn't hesitate when I asked for cookies. Hopefully I can get some info by Monday and get the shipment going.

Ask MR Berger if he needs a taste tester Brian would more then volunteer he will come in for free. For a little guy I watched him tear thru a box like nothing (I think he bit me finger)

Tell Mr. Berger that some UBBB have been suppporting him for years! I should buy stock in Berger Cookies! Steph and I go through at least a box a week! Mmmmmmm good!
