The cold weather and cabin fever is getting to me. To got my fishing fix this week by spending a little money on some new LTJ gear.

I picked up an E21 Carrot Stix (C721M-XF-DSS), 7'2" Fast Action, Medium Power, rod and paired it up with the New Quantum Catalyst CT30PTsB. Combined, this rod and reel weighs less than 1 pound. I estimate the combined weight to be about 13 to 14oz. :thumbup:

Shhh! :nono: The wife wasn't informed of my recent purchase and hasn't noticed the shiny new aluminum reel and the orange hue emanating from my new Carrot colored rod nestled amongst my assortment of rods suspended from the garage ceiling. I'm not saying anything :38: or else ... :2guns: :death:

I am stoked and can't wait until it warms up so I can get a little pullage on this new rig. :rockon:

I just bought myself a new toy the other day too... 7-0 Teramar Rod with Shimano Tekota 500 on it.... cant wait to play!!! Congrats!!

Andy - If you let my wife know, you are only hurting yourself... :nono: How can I tell you where the fish are biting if I am stuck doing chores all summer for my second sneaky little purchase?

Quick story, a couple years ago my wife had foot surgery. While she was heavily medicated and stuck laying on the basement sofa I bought and installed a new Lowrance Chartplotter/Sonar unit without her knowledge. She was drugged up and sleeping in the basement while I was hard at work in the garage. The next time she was on my boat she suspected there was something new on board but just couldn't put her finger on it. As I was putting my fingers all over it. :thumbup:
