The bad news is that dirty water from all the rain has slowed striper catching in and around Maryland's Chesapeake Bay and tributaries. The good news is that I received a report that some spot have been caught in the lower bay, this means they should show up in good numbers any day and live lining kick off. Despite dirty water, the northern reach of the bay has a great run of big white perch and white shad going on. In and around the Chesapeake Bay Bridge the dirty water has slowed things for anglers fishing for striped bass. The middle bay has some pockets of cleaner water that has provided some catching for trolling and light tackle anglers. In Maryland's lower Chesapeake there are still big stripers being caught and... Thanks guys. They are weekly, posted here because I am not sure how many people check the TidalFish.com homepage vs. coming right here to the forum. We serve fresh fishing reports up for Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina and just started the Northeast fishing reports up again. Also serve up some fresh fishing news in the top fishing story several times a week.
