Spent Thurs out with a Bud and tried the chumming trick. North of the bridge- caught the last of the outgoing and picked up -4- undersize until the tide dropped. Moved over to the East side and waited the incoming. NADA. Moved over to the west side and NADA. Was visited by DNR. Didn't catch his name- nice guy just cking life preservers and license. Fished throuugh part of the incoming. NADA. Got bk to SPSP and they had only seen -1- fish 40" well maybe 39.75" according to the Dept of Commerce surveyor. Said it was legal when caught but who am I to say. Too close for me. Weather was snotty in the AM and dropped to about 3-5Kts from the east by the time we got off the water at 1600hrs. Great day on the water in spite of not catching a lot of fish. This is what I worked 40+ years for. Wind from the East- you catch the least!!!! Worked on my suntan.
