If you are talking about the Nansemond there isnt to much action.Some small flounder.If youcan get out to MMBT fish the tube there has been a few caught .Good Luck!!!!!
Nansemond River
Are flounder and trout possible in the Nansemond river ? If so any tips would be greatly appreciated .

Never caught a flounder in the Nasemond, but the grass flats hold some trout in the fall, but it's hit and miss.
I've cast-netted a few tiny flounder but never caught one out there. I have caught a few small (14-17") specks around the piers and docks at the mouth of the river and, of course, lots of croaker and some small stripers.
