I watch a fresh water fishing show the other week and noticed something that I have not seen before. The guys were jigging for bass in 18' of water and they had a special made hook for dropper flies. The hook had a long shank and then a small loop that looked like an eye but the shank continued on at a 90 degree angle for an inch and then another eye. The guys would tie the line to the first (fake) eye and leave a 2' tail of line. They would then run the tail through the real eye and then tie the tail to a 1 oz. jig. The hook then stood out 90 degrees from the line and they would add their favorite plastic to the hook. The dropper hook looked great. Has anyone used these hooks before? Where can I find some?
