I think the hook you are thinking about is a new hook made for the "drop shot technique" used by bass fishermen. It's called a "Standout" Drop-shot hook. You can find them on pages 229 and 230 of the latest Cabelas Master Fishing catalog Ed.#1 2007.
The name "Standout" is also the Brand name so you can go to www.cabelas.com and search for them on the website.
It probably won't be long before someone starts tying bucktail to them to make "Standout Dropper Flies" ! Hey! Maybe I should patent that idea
