Went out with a buddy, thinking to try to repeat on the nice fish I caught Friday in the Mobjack area, found good marks, but no co-operation, finally went up near the pound stakes north or New Point, still nada, then heard of a bite supposedly 2 miles west of 33, ran out, found a couple of boats and scattered gannets diving more like 3/4 miles west of the channel, picked up a fat 19" right away and a 34 1/4" just after the sun went down. Looked real fishy there, real nice bait, wish we coulda gotten there sooner. Picked up and ran back in trying to beat the failing light, but managed to cut a shoal too close coming back inside the Severn and ran aground at 20 knots--REAL stupid, shoulda slowed down and made sure I knew where I was, had to wait a couple of hours for the tide to come up and floated her off. No real damage, cleaned the paint off the bottom of the skegs on the outboards, and no doubt scoured off some bottom paint. Coulda been worse.
