Okay upon further review I think I might head down there for the THT Fun N Fish, second weekend in June IIRC.
What should I expect to get into out of Oregon Inlet in June? Sounds like the cobia should be around....what else?
Boat is a 23' walk around, I ran it out to the tower last August without any trouble and would be willing to go offshore for whatever might be biting then.
Advice?

cobia, if you have some good sight fishing conditions not much else would be more exciting.

I've been going down there the second week of June for the last 15 years and about half of them had cobia around. Tunas are there as long as theres not a sw wind for any length of time. Mahi have been scarce the last few years, they were there last year but I got shanghied into a run up to the northeast grounds looking for marlin, it was a make up charter long boat ride and no marlin. Would love to go down again this summer and I'm going to miss it but have the opportunity to take the family to Hawaii, should be some tunas out there in late July.
