Was set of follow the charters Saturday morning, but out boat (Bottom Up...24 Albermarle) had a bad starter. Back on the trailer and off to Manteo for gasket/sealer. Had to take the rider and manifold off to get the starter off. Repairs completed before 8 AM. Back to inlet and off we go. Around 10:30 I call Ray (Reel Deel), and ask him where the tuna are located. Ray said that he was with the fleet around the 650 (we were head to the 560). Ray said that he had not had a nibble. Around 10:45 we began fishing in 64 degree water. Did hit a patch of 66 degree water, but the further east we went the colder the water got (not good). Back inshore and we got a nibble and landed a 20 pound tuna (our only tuna tibble). Radio talk was not good with the charters talking about going "bottom fishing". Around 12 we ran north to our tile/seabass hole and at least 8 charter had beat us to the area. Ray (Reel Deel) fished with us. Caught a limit to tiles and 20 decent seabass. Think Ray was one short of a tiles limit, catching seabass and a nice grouper also. Back to the dock around 5:30. Fuel burn was 56 gallons. Craige (Mary E)
