Sorry for the late post but just received the pictures from the angler. Here are the details-
Fish was caught on Thurs. the 22nd just north of 4A near the red can buoy off the eastern shore. We had already run south to Carolla, fished Damneck and CH on the way back north, and ran all the way to Cape Charles light.... not a bump all day. We were calling it a day headin to the barn when we spotted a small group of birds workin. Good marks and lines over...all 5 went off. Picked through lots of throw backs and got 7 keepers. Next biggest fish was only 33".
The big girl was 51.5" long with a 33.5" girth and weighed in at 59lbs 9ozs. She hit a blue/chart./white stretch 30.
Kevin Spector of Richmond was the lucky angler with his first evver VA citation. Kudos to Capt. Jake Delcambre for not givin up and findin the fish.
