Yes its for real that same fish at the seafood market is 12-18 dollars pending on the market. Try buying striper tags and you will also see why its $4 lb

danny you know we don't fish cause it's cheaper than buying. take into account the fish in the store is just fillet & it might not be that great a deal. i'm wondering if fishf thought it might have been illegal thing.

You lose roughly about 1/2 to 2/3 of a Rockfish weight when it is filleted.Head/guts/backbone are all heavy.The price for a whole fish is fair.Most going to market are 5-8 lbers.

The price per lb filleted seems high until you do the math.Fresh fish is expensive.

I know bad thread to start I was taken back on how much fish was worth. I dont go to a resturant to order fish nor do I buy it already cleaned so it was a surprise to me when I saw it.
