Headed out for the first trip of the year from Sandy Point, High tide was 4 hours late +/-, didn't really turn around until 9:00 or so.

Ran south to just off of Greenbury Point,, trolled east west working our way between 30'-50' working back north.

LOTS OF NICE MARKS DEEP in 35'. Looked promising for anybody LTJ.

Made it back to the bridge around 9:20 and picked up 1 fish, south side eastern span, first piling east of the western rock pile. Had to troll at 45* angle to the bridge due to the ripping outgoing current.

9oz/5oz barney purple/fuscia purple tandem, white shad from Capt Greg, run
125' back on a boat rod. DEEP!

Only hit, but it counted. Male fish.

Based on the early reports, I have the weekend of May 13th/14th mentally blocked out for the first South River trip. Sometime Friday PM, or Sat AM, gonna' give it a shot. Traps, 10-12' to start. We'll see what shakes out after that.
