That is a scary feeling...I was on the Stennis going through Korea about 7 years ago when we had a typhoon and there were waves like that...the Airmen trying to get the planes back in as we approached the waves was unbelievable...20 degree rolls and more...scary! Makes the chesapeake on the worst day look like a lake...

you dont know how true that is...we literally had a coat of puke on the deck of the bridge, only 2 OODs on the whole ship were not bedridden for seasickness...never seen anything like it...
