[Stormin' Norman]

Does anyone out there have experience fishing in the County Mayo or County Sligo areas of Ireland? I'm planning to be out there vacationing this June and see that they have a pretty good salmon run underway that time of year. There seem to be many options for lodges and guides online, but the big question is who is good and who is not so good.

If anyone has input, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. :thumbup:

I grew up in Ireland and we used to fish the Lough in Sligo but not so much for Salmon. I remember my Dad taking trips for Salmon with his buddies, I'll ask him what he remembers, if he knows anything. There is a ton of great fishing there...wish I could be more help, but you are gonna love it. I am taking the family back next year and I already have a trip planned for the giant pike, which is a blast!
