So, My husband and I have off for a few days starting Feb. 18th. I thought it would be nice to surprise him with a trip to the Outer Banks to do a little fishing. Here's my dilema, Not really sure where to go while we are there since we would be surf fishing and also a suggestion as to maybe a place to stay. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

nice place. As far as fishing goes they could be anywhere by then, but mostly I would be on the beach up north of duck. check back when the trip gets closer.

I would go to Hatteras since the further south you go the warmer the water and better the chance of catching fish. That being said, checK the link below. Midgette Reality bought the old Holiday Inn Express in Hatteras Village and turn it into mini condos. The are very nicely furnished and within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and right next to the ferry docks.

This time of the year the Surf is where you want to be. I would go to the end of Cape Hattreras past the Ferry its a good place to catch BigRock fish and Puppies. You can take the Ferry to Ocracoke and surf fish there also. Go to the inlet area. There is a great place to eat also if you go to Ocracoke. Its called Howards and it is open 364 days a year. Good luck at the OBX.

Thanks to all of you for your help! We're heading down on Sat. morning. Hopefully we'll be able to catch some fish and have a few days of relaxation. I'm ready to get out on the beach and do some fishing. Thanks again for all your help.
