I used the spinner baits for a couple seasons but didn't think they caught any better than regular chutes. If you decide to use them, replace the swivel on the blade with a BB swivel. I had several origional swivels fail, losing the blade.
I also used the tomics during the same time. Again, I don't feel they caught any better than regular chutes.

I used the spinners as a single and as the trailer on an umbrella. I didn't have any better luck with them. You'd think that the vibration and reflection from the spinner would give it a little extra something but apparently not.

I used a spinner last year and it didn't catch anything......just created more drag.
Tomics are effective, but no more so than a chute, I run them in my spread but havnt seen any remarkable difference in catch rate.

I always use 1 spinner bait w/ a 5oz para on a 6' dropper and a 2oz plain para following on 12' out 200 to 265' this catches when the bight is tough. I have not tried the tomic even though I have one. I did replace the stock swivel.. no tangles or problems.

I know Stretches work good in the winter but what about early Sprint season?

We drug the spinners around for a couple of years and never caught a thing on them--including days when every other line in the spread got eaten up.
If you run them, be aware that they put up some major drag in the water--a lot more than they look like

As for Tomics--we have gotten a couple of fish here and there, but not enough to keep them in the spread.

Stretches catch anytime. Question is, can you run them in your spread with out creating a big mess?

I ran a couple this past fall...biggest mistake I ever made...they tacked left and right all through my spread. I wish I had a blood pressure kit on me while trying to sort that mess out. I might have set a new world or something. :52:

I put two on the outside of my spread waaaaaay back. Spinner with swim shad, white. Caught a 38" fattie on one in December south of Solomons. It took forever to get that fish to the boat!

Does anyone have any pictures of what these "stretches" look like. I've heard guys talking about them, but I don't even know what they are. Thanks!:fishing2:
