Fished the inner Patapsco, 8-31-11, 10:00am-2:30pm. Not much to report. Many dink stripers with a couple up to 15”. LOTS of dink wperch with a few in the 10”-11” range, maybe 1 in 20+ were keepers. Also a few useless nipper blues, lots of soft plastics got cut in half. All caught on 4” paddletail BAs, chart/glitter, on 1/2oz head or a small white Hopkins-type spoon. Goodly amount of bait in the area. Water vis varied from 18” up to 4’ in one area. Big fish of the day, that I thought was a really good striper at first, turned out to be a 24” channel cat caught on the Hopkins. I really would have liked keeping a few of those perch, but due to the ongoing sewage spill all were returned. I even used a thick rubber glove to handle and release all fish so I wouldn’t get stuck by a fish spine. Sad thing that it has to come to that.
