Fished the inner Patapsco, 8-31-11, 10:00am-2:30pm. Not much to report. Many dink stripers with a couple up to 15”. LOTS of dink wperch with a few in the 10”-11” range, maybe 1 in 20+ were keepers. Also a few useless nipper blues, lots of soft plastics got cut in half. All caught on 4” paddletail BAs, chart/glitter, on 1/2oz head or a small white Hopkins-type spoon. Goodly amount of bait in the area. Water vis varied from 18” up to 4’ in one area. Big fish of the day, that I thought was a really good striper at first, turned out to be a 24” channel cat caught on the Hopkins. I really would have liked keeping a few of those perch, but due to the ongoing sewage spill all were returned. I even used a thick rubber glove to handle and release all fish so I wouldn’t get stuck by a fish spine. Sad thing that it has to come to that.:((

BK - No smell or visual symptoms of the on-going huge sewage spill that I could detect. Just the usual dingy looking water I've come to expect due mostly to algae blooms... normal hot summer month conditions for the inner Patapsco. And just the usual amount of floating trash and small sticks. Usually the water there starts to clear once water temps drop down to the mid-60Fs or lower.

Hey Howard,
Well at least you gave it a go and I would had thought the smell would be bad after that spill. I was thinking about going tomarrow but I just don't know if I can do it or not. Thanks for the report and we still have to get togerher soon.
